One of the most exciting times during a pregnancy is in fact going shopping for that little bundle of joy and the most anticipated buy of them all is in fact the pram!
I remember each little detail that I encountered on this adventurous journey. I am quite indecisive as some would say or maybe it’s a good thing that I think a gazillion times over when buying absolutely anything.
From day one, I knew I wanted a travel system as it is a complete package and you don’t have to worry about purchasing items such as car seats separately. So with that in mind, I roamed the stores of London endlessly for a travel system my heart would settle on, from mamas and papas to mothercare to independent baby stores, I left no stone unturned.
I did end up ordering a system but when it arrived, it went right back to the store without it even being opened. So that was me back to the drawing board! How could I not settle on anything? What other option did I have left?
I knew Little A would be here any day so I needed to get a move on. One day, I came across Infababy (then known as Uberchild) on google and I felt my heart buzz. After extensively going through each review and a YouTube video, I knew I wanted the Moto 3 in 1.
But there was a hiccup.
If I wanted this pram, I’d have to order it online, I’d have to part with my money on an item before seeing it in the flesh. This was a risk, a gamble for sure but a risk that I would take in a heartbeat again!
The Moto 3 in 1 has by far been the best thing I have ever bought for Little A and I couldn’t be more proud.
There was not only a pram but a carrycot and a car seat too, so a complete travel system.
What really sold me this pram were it’s wheels, not only they are lockable but are made from the latest technology tubeless PU rubber tyres – all I understood with that it is used in cars as well so it must be good and durable! And they are! We’ve travelled on all types of surfaces and it’s always been a smooth ride.
The other thing that sold the Moto to me was the carrycot, made from breathable fabrics. Yes, as carrycots are meant to be it is lie flat but the head is banked a Little for baby’s head to be raised to help reduce colic. At first, I admit, I was a bit wary of this but when it arrived you honestly can’t tell! But it’s a feature that’s supposed to help babies (I must add I did speak to my midwife about this for reassurance!).
Additionally, because of the formation of the seat unit, I do not have to worry about nap times on the go and it’s given me so much confidence as a Mum. The carrycot was a lie flat of course but the seat unit has different reclining positions too which is very useful when out and about as Little A can have a good nap in it if need be.
Hand in hand is the footrest that is adjustable to make it all that more comfortable for your little one.
One of the main features of what makes a travel system attractive is that it comes along with a car seat that you can attach to the pram and with the Moto 3 in 1, it’s just with one click.
This made life so much easier and I realise how much easier since she’s too big for it now and is in next stage. It was definitely a breeze, especially transporting her when she’d be fast asleep!
The car seat is suitable from birth right up to 13kg so I say make the most of it as much as possible!
The finish on this entire pram is just exquisite, the leatherette bumper bar as well as the adjustable handle (thank goodness for this as my husband is considerably taller!) has not only been useful but quite appealing for the eye too as I have received lots of compliments.
There’s a peeking window at the back of the hood which helps you to keep an eye on little ones once they’re ready to face the world, an adjustable hood that comes so far out that I needn’t worry about protecting Little A from the scorching sun we’ve had this summer.
The seat liners for the car seat, carrycot and the seat unit can all be removed and easily washed.
Both the car seat and seat unit features the safety harnesses, car seat a 3 point and the seat a 5 point, so you know your little one is safe and sound.
To some, the shopping basket may seem on the small side but being honest, it’s been nearly 2 years and it’s met my needs so I’m absolutely happy with it!
In the package you’re also given a snuggly footmuff which is keeping Little A all warm for the second winter running. And to top it all up, a changing bag that came with a travel changing pad! 21 months on, I am still using it – I guess that speaks for itself, right?
Overall, as you probably have already gathered, I am absolutely in love with the Moto 3 in 1! Yes, I do have to mention that it is bulky and my Mum has mentioned to me several times that it’s bulky but at the same time she does keep praising it too! I tell myself to see that in a positive light, how so? It’s definitely sturdy, more durable and I can for sure see myself using this exact same pram with the next baby, if ever there was one.
It does make me sad that sometime next year, I’ll be on the search for a new stroller as Little A will hit the maximum weight limit of 15kg but let’s leave that till next year, shall we? As of right now, we’re happily making use of our pram.
