June was a fun filled packed month filled with lots of lovely memories. It started off with the May Half Term. Yes, I know May but majority of that week was spent in June so.
MAY HALF TERM

We had a busy week beginning with exploring the Olympic Park and taking Miss A to the Velodrome, Miss A was mesmerised! Then we headed off to spend the week at our cousins where we had a busy few days. We went on the Peter Rabbit Trail, visited the William Morris Gallery, went on lots of different walks.
May half term also saw the UK’s long weekend celebrating the Queen’s Platinum Jubilee. I am not a Royalist, but I did enjoy the community spirit that it brought with it.
STAY AND PLAY

For the first time ever since the pandemic began, parents were being allowed in classrooms in June at our school.
Understandably, I wasn’t allowed into her nursery in 2020 and neither in beginning of Reception year. Although it use to get me when I’d see different restrictions and policies for other schools. Miss A didn’t have a physical induction into school like many others. When she started, she would be desperate for me to come and see her classroom but it wasn’t impossible.
So you can imagine her excitement (and mine!) when she found out I was finally coming inside! I had a lovely time exploring her classroom and playing with her. Miss A had a fantastic time being my tour guide, showing off her work, her favourite reading corner too.
It really is the little things that matter the most! And I honestly can’t believe she’ll be going into Year 1 soon! How quickly has this school year gone?

June celebrates my Mum’s birthday, I swapped my days at work so I could be able to spend it with her. We went for a shopping trip where instead of me treating my Mum on her birthday, she ended up treating me instead!
We then went out for lunch at our favourite restaurant. It just felt so good to be doing something normal and spending that quality time with my Mum. Although, we live together, so are with each other all the time. It was just nice doing to something together that isn’t related to the house.
NHS TRUST LEAVING PARTY

The NHS trust that I work for was taken over by another. So, we had a leaving do to commemorate our time with the previous trust. It was lovely seeing some of my colleagues who I hadn’t seen in over two years. It was also rather emotional remembering our colleagues whom passed away in the past two years.
VAX CORDLESS

Who would have ever thought that I would be so excited over a vacuum cleaner. I’d been after a cordless for a long time but couldn’t settle on one I liked.
Having a bedroom in the loft, I didn’t like having to drag my dyson around. I came home one day to my Mum saying there’s a surprise in my bedroom. I instantly knew what it was, haha! This little beast has honestly been a God send. It may look small but it is powerful. It gave me a right shocker. When I first used it just two days after using my regular dyson, I was surprised, of how much rubbish it picked up!

Sounds like you had a really lovely time in May/June! She definitely looked mesmerized by the Velodrome! What a cool experience for her 🙂
June seemed like it had a lot of lovely experiences (and I’m with you on being excited about a new vacuum, haha)! I hope July has been a good month for you and your family!
I get excited by new appliances too, so I don’t think it’s weird to be pumped for a new vacuum cleaner!
I really want to try that Vax cordless hoover! I’m glad you’ve had a good June lovely and I hope you have had a good July so far! x
