May was a month of both positives and negatives, a real mix bag but the positives definitely outweigh the negatives as they were life changing.
BANK HOLIDAYS

There were at least three bank holidays in May thanks to the Kings Coronation which was nice to have a shorter working week. Albeit, it was a shocker when we went back to normality of five days!
TOOTH FAIRY

After months of wobbly teeth, we finally had one fall out! During breakfast and nearly ended up being swallowed! She was having her weetabix and started to wonder why there’s something hard all of a suddenly, turns out it was her tooth!
She couldn’t be more excited to go to school to show off her mouth as her friends have been losing their teeth and she was waiting for her turn. Nevertheless, I’m glad I was prepared! What a milestone, eh!
She was so happy to receive her certificate and gold coin in the morning although did say, ‘mummy, did you secretly put this under my pillow when I was sleeping?’ But I did hear her say this is the best day ever!
RESIGNATION

Yes, that’s right.
I resigned from my job of 5 years.
Crazy, right?
But it had to be done. I was increasingly feeling drained and upset and I knew that I had enough and couldn’t do it anymore. Earlier on in the year I applied for a role in my dream legal sector (I have a degree in law but was doing the total opposite). I found out I was successful in my interview in March when I was offered a full time role. However, I requested part time and it took a while for the confirmation to come through.
Eventually it did in May and the rest is history! I cried so much handing in my resignation because although I was happy that I was finally going somewhere I’d always wanted to, I was sad to leave the place I knew for a very long time.
MOROCCO

We went on our first holiday abroad since the pandemic. Coincidentally, this holiday came at the right time in my break between both jobs. Morocco was a honestly a dream come true and I’ll be sharing lots more about it soon on here. Let’s just say if you’re considering a holiday definitely add Morocco to the list!
However, don’t be fooled! Two weeks before the holiday Miss A became unwell and passed on her bug to me and although she became better I did not. I had croup during the trip which wasn’t fun at all but had to make it work!
So that’s my round up of our May! If you want to see a video version of it please click here.

Hope you all have a wonderful month ahead.
