I had entered November with no particular plans at all and it turned out to be the opposite! A month full of unexpected adventures, which inevitably lead to me taking some time away from my blog too and social media. I didn’t feel bad about not posting much because I knew if I had posted, it would certainly not be my best. It also felt good to not have the ‘pressure to post’ and live in the moment more.
So what did we get up to?
Without further ado, here is a roundup of the five things I loved about November.
LIGHT SHOW

It was a simple Sunday, without any plans – well, the only plan I had was to chill at home in my pyjamas.
My brother turned up and suggested we go explore the Winter Market and the Town Hall’s Light Show. All wrapped up and off we went and my goodness I had not expected to have such a good time. We ended up staying longer than we had planned too.
Exploring the small businesses, Aazeen bought a little miniature handmade rug for her dolls house and had fun playing with the dancing water. The market shut at 4pm so we went to get warm inside the car until the light show began after dark.
My brother went to get pizzas and we sat and enjoyed the show whilst munching away. Aazeen was completely mesmerised with the different colours, take a look here to see for yourself.
She still talks about it today!
BIRTHDAY PARTY

Aazeen was invited to her first ever birthday party! I didn’t think something like this would but it certainly felt like hitting a milestone!
It was at her friend’s house and although it was a ‘drop them off’ party some of the parents were welcomed to stay due to shyness. I decided to stay as I knew it might get overwhelming for her, especially being her first times. At times, she felt overwhelmed but I was glad to be there to give her the reassurance she needed. She managed to have a good time dancing around and playing with her friends.
ENGAGEMENT PARTY

That same evening as Aazeen’s friend’s birthday party we had been invited to an engagement party. I was in two minds whether or not to take her with me, I thought she would be overtired and of course it would run way past her bedtime.
But we went and had a good time! I felt good to dress up, wear a little make up (I only wear make up on special occasions). Myself and Aazeen were twinning of course and she literally became the life and soul of the event.
Where did all the dance moves come from her? I really enjoyed myself and I am certain it was due to having her with us.
If you are attending an event, I would highly recommend taking a notepad and some colouring pens with you too. As kids will be kids, they will eventually need more than just music and adult events last longer than what they’re accustomed too. It honestly became the best entertainment when she wanted a sit down.
DA

I know, I know I spoke about my DA increasing in my October roundup post. But how could I leave this out for November? If you follow me on Twitter you will be aware that I had something special to celebrate!
The only goal I had for my blog this year was for my DA to increase to 10 by the end of December… well I didn’t have to wait until the new year! I hit 10 in mid November! Seeing that double figure, I cannot explain how I felt! Currently it is at 11 and I still cannot believe it. I only have you lovely readers to thank that for and I am so grateful for your love and support!
KINDLE

After much deliberation, I finally decided to invest in a Kindle. I regret not getting one much earlier on. It has only been a week and I have already read and enjoyed three books! Yes, that’s right, three in the space of six days which is not like me at all!
My screen time has decreased significantly as rather scrolling aimlessly through Instagram after the little one goes to bed, I reach for my kindle and read instead.
I am not a technical expert but I love how the screen of the kindle does not hurt your eyes in the dark and is very similar to the pages of a book. I had a hard time choosing which version to get but finally settled on the Kindle Paperwhite that was released this year. It now goes everywhere with me! Either in my handbag or in my coat pocket, you will find it with me.
I cannot wait to start exploring more books!

What did you love about the month of November? Please share with me below!

I also love December because it is my mother’s birthday month. So we always go somewhere to celebrate. Lovely post, btw.
What a lovely November you had Soffy, now to make even more memories in December with your babe x
Oh the light show looks fantastic, I bet you all had a magical time! I love posts like this, they’re so sweet and heart-warming. November was super busy for me; I had a ROTTEN cold for a good few weeks but did some lovely things too, like going to see the Only Fools and Horses Musical (amazing!), going to see The Darkness gig, another theatre show, spending time in London. It was a lot and I’m exhausted but was wonderful!
Well done on your achievements! It sounds like you had an amazing month full of fun x
November sounds like such a good month! Birthday parties as a child were so much fun, very jealous ahah x
The light show sounds so pretty! I have always wanted to see one but have never had the chance.
Love that you managed to get in two parties that both went amazingly well, and congratulations in hitting your DA goal. Here is to continued success. 🙂
It sounds like you had an amazing November SOffy! So glad Azeri enjoyed beying at both parties and ended up being the center of the party too! Pictures look amazing and so so happy for you that your DA reached your set goal!! Xx
