These yummy treats are a must for any party and occasion, they require minimal time and effort. But I do have to be honest, I can’t really tell you approximately how long this takes to make because I lost track of the time. Since being a Mum actually means having to have several intervals to tend to your child’s needs.
But I can say it’s very straightforward – even for beginners because it was actually my second time making a cheesecake, the first time a week before this just to see if I can do it so I don’t make a fool of myself at my first ever Xmas bring and share lunch at work.
To make 26 Oreo shotcakes you will need:
26 shot glasses
360g of cream cheese
260ml of double cream
3 to 4 tablespoons of sugar, you can play around with this all dependant on your sweet tooth!
1tsp of vanilla essence
3 packets of oreo biscuits but do have spares aside just in case
What to do:
Put all of the cream cheese in a bowl and stir till it’s a little fluffy.
Add the sugar (most recipes for cheesecakes ask you to use icing sugar however you can just blend granulated sugar in the blender and that’s fine), double cream and vanilla essence and keep stirring. The texture may seem runny which did make me panic at first but as you keep on stirring it will go back to a creamy fluffy state.
As you are doing this, take apart an entire packet of oreos (my packet contained 12?)
Pull apart the biscuits so you can scrape the white bits (what’s the actual name for this?!) into your mixture.
You are then left with broken biscuits, pour them into a blender to grind.
Sprinkle some of the biscuit crumbs into the cream cheese mixture, it will make them look more appetising!
Now it’s time to add to the shot glasses. There’s no rule to this – it’s entirely up to you how much you would like to add to a layer. As you can see from my pictures, I added the crumbs to at least 40% of the glass and then the rest with the cream cheese right to the top!
Once you are done, open another packet of oreos and place a whole biscuit on top just like in the photos.
Refrigerate overnight for the best results and don’t forget to lick the bowl!

These were actually quite therapeutic to make, I must say. Next time, I’ll be trying strawberry shotcakes as well fererro rochers shotcakes, would you be interested?
